Privacy Policy

Your app data

The portfolios, trades, plans, notes, documents, and other information you create in our applications are stored on your device. Our financial apps do not send accounts, holdings or plans to Kalman Software on their own; optional services are described below.

Our financial applications do not contain usage analytics or crash reporting. They make limited network requests for software updates and, when enabled, market data. We retain aggregate statistics such as product, version, operating system, downloads, and first launches. We do not use these requests to identify or track individual users.

Optional services, such as market-data providers or hosted AI models, receive information directly from your device when you choose to use them. Their handling of that information is governed by their own privacy policies. Kalman Software does not receive it.

Excise PDF does not access the network. The individual app policies give the details for RangefinderInvest, CrucibleTrade, and Excise PDF.

Purchases

Purchases are processed by Stripe, Microsoft, or Apple, depending on where you buy the application.

For direct purchases, Stripe collects your payment and billing information. Kalman Software receives the information needed to fulfill and support the order, such as your name, email address, billing location, product, amount, and order reference. We never receive or store your complete card number. Resend delivers the license email.

We retain purchase records as required for accounting, customer support, and legal obligations. A temporary checkout record lets the confirmation page show your license key and expires after 30 days.

Website and email

Our websites are hosted by Cloudflare. Cloudflare may process standard technical information such as IP addresses and browser information to deliver and protect the sites.

We use cookieless, aggregate website analytics and count software downloads. We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking.

If you email us or join a waitlist, we receive your email address and anything you include in the message. We use it only to respond, provide support, or send the notification you requested.

Sharing and selling

We do not sell personal information or share it for advertising. Information is provided only to services needed to operate the business, such as Cloudflare for hosting, Stripe for purchases, Resend for transactional email, and Microsoft or Apple for their respective stores. We may also disclose information when legally required.

Your choices

You can disable automatic update checks and optional network features in the applications. You may contact us to ask what personal information we hold about you or to request its correction or deletion, subject to records we must retain for legal and accounting purposes.

Changes

If our data practices change, we will update this page and its effective date.
